Artist Statement
Art pieces that have “no touch” or don’t encourage play make me sad, and I want to change that. I am on a mission to bring out the play in people, and doing that through interactive sculptures, and small products to take the interaction home with you. I also really like to make jokes, and like to make things that create a fun and playful experience for people.
I enjoy combining mechanical, electronic, and computational mediums to create interactivity though sculpture, theater props, products, garments, lighting, and public art.
Every stage of the design process is “my favorite” - from the concept development, prototyping, fabrication, and the installation, I just like to create and bring creative energy and joy into the world.
