WE’RE ALL JUST SHRUGGING ALONG

I took a neon class with Lili Lakich, a founder of MoNA and LA based neon artist, to design and fabricate this piece.

This piece is a commentary on our current channels of communication.

People who have an Apple device will know the feeling of communicating with a non-Apple device through text messages: it produces green chat bubbles.

It can make or break a relationship, and has become an interesting meme for my generation, further contributing to the polarization of our society. iOS vs Android, Democrat vs. Republican, [insert sports team] vs. [insert rival sports team], we’re all familiar with it, but

at the end of the day we’re all saying and doing the same thing - indecisively making our way though the world, unsure of ourselves, but carrying on like everything matters and is important, when in fact, nothing matters and we’re all going to die anyway.
